When first starting therapy, I typically recommend meeting weekly. Consistent sessions allow us to build momentum, establish safety, and begin integrating skills into daily life. As therapy progresses, session frequency can be adjusted collaboratively based on your needs, goals, and progress.
No, Becca Allen Counseling is a private-pay, out-of-network practice. I do not accept insurance due to the limitations and rigidity insurance companies place on care, diagnosis, and length of treatment.
I am happy to provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement depending on your plan.
Initial intake session: $250
Ongoing therapy sessions: $200 per session
Payment is due at the time of service. Additional details regarding payment methods and policies are provided during the intake process.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, are subject to the full session fee. This policy helps protect time set aside specifically for you.
Yes—sometimes this can happen. Therapy often involves slowing down, noticing patterns, and addressing experiences that may have been avoided or pushed aside. While this can feel uncomfortable at times, it is often part of meaningful change. We move at a pace that prioritizes safety, regulation, and support.
That’s completely normal. Many people feel anxious, unsure, or vulnerable before their first session. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or how therapy will go—part of the work is figuring that out together. We’ll take things one step at a time.
No. While I do support individuals during the perinatal and postpartum periods, I work with women and men ages 16 and older across a range of concerns, including eating disorders, body image distress, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, and life transitions.
